Sarah Burgoyne was born and raised in British Columbia and now lives in Montreal. She wrote Love the Sacred Raisin Cakes while she was reading the books of the prophets and studying at Concordia University. She has published two other chapbooks: The Bread Days(Oak Press, 2011) and Happy Dog, Sad Dog (Proper Tales Press, 2013).
