At 19, Isabella Wang is a two-time finalist and the youngest writer short-listed for The New Quarterly’s Edna Staebler Essay Contest, and she holds a Pushcart Prize nomination for poetry. Her poetry and prose have appeared in over twenty literary journals, including Contemporary Verse 2, GEEZ Magazine, Canthius, Looseleaf Magazine, Plenitude, The /tEmz/ Review, and carte blanche. She is pursuing a double major in English and World Literature at Simon Fraser University. As well, she is as an assistant editor with Room magazine, serving as the Youth Advocate for the Federation of BC Writers, and co-ordinating the bi-weekly Dead Poets Reading Series with the Vancouver Public Library. This is her debut poetry chapbook.
